Charlie Villanueva is a power forward for the Detroit Pistons. He has alopecia universalis, a hair loss disease so Villanueva is bald. during a Pistons-Celtics game Kevin Garnett trash talked Villanueva. Garnett seems to have gone too far.
On his twitter Villanueva said “KG called me a cancer patient, I’m ****** because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it’s a joke.” Garentt said it was a misunderstanding and he called Villanueva a cancer to the team and the league. It does not sound like Garnett is telling the truth, after all, he is known for his trash talking on the court and mistakes do happen. we all say things we don’t mean to. But this is sports. If you say a wrong thing in sports you could lose your job. Randy Moss said a few bad things and ended up being waived by the Vikings.
Garnett should not get away with this. David Stern needs to take action, he needs to be strict about these things. If you trash talk players it should be okay but insulting them is not good. Garnett hurt Villanueva’s feelings and possibly victims of cancers feelings. I feel like Stern needs to suspend Garnett for what he did, that would teach Garnett and many other NBA players a lesson.
