As I head into day 3 of my predictions, I predict what happens in the central division.
1:Chicago Bulls
The Bulls acquired Carlos Boozer from Utah. They also have Deng, Noah and Rose out on the court. This will be a good defensive team, a good offensive team, and Derrick Rose gets the ball to people. He has a great court vision and can make amazing passes, and he’s only 21. I like James Johnson at shooting guard, but I really like Taj Gibson at power forward even with Boozer starting. Taj was a rookie last season and played great. I can’t wait for next season because this kid and Rose have good careers ahead of them. I also will be watching James Johnson this season. They might not be the 95 Bulls, or even last years Lakers, but they can finish very high this season.
2:Milwaukee Bucks
Brandon Jennings is a great player who sees the court well and has a nice shooting touch. Redd is the star of the team and is a great leader while you have Bogut rebounding and playing inside. I am concerned about possible injuries with Redd and Bogut. If you put defensive pressure on Jennings he usually starts to crack. though you saw the success of this team last season and Larry Sanders might add a little bit of Magic to this team, but I think most of the sparks won’t be in Milwaukee. Keep a look out for this team, watch where injuries take them, and watch the game on December, 27 when they host the Hawks.
3:Indiana Pacers
The Pacers have Danny Granger who is the centerpiece of this franchise. They got James Posey and Darren Collison off of a trade and only have lost Troy Murphy so far. I like where this team is headed. Injuries hurt them last season and I don’t see these guys making the playoffs, but don’t underestimate these guys, if injuries hurt Milwaukee, Indiana might finish second in this division.
4:Detroit Pistons
The Pistons haven’t lost a single player and received Tracy McGrady and Greg Monroe. Charlie Villanueva is a good player to back up Tayshan Prince. Like many other teams in this division, injuries hurt them last season, and even if they go all season with no injuries (ha ha, funny) they still are not talented to get to the playoffs against their opponents. I hope T-Mac helps the team so the league will be more exciting, but he has to stand up against Rip Hamilton and Ben Gordon.
5:Cleveland Cavaliers
The team lost Lebron for future second round draft picks, I cant help but laugh when I look at all the summers winners and losers. Miami becomes championship contenders while Cleveland will end up getting Jamelle Horne or something. Antwan Jamison has to get up out of bed the morning before every game and think to himself ‘Lebron left us and I need to help this team, I will win this team a championship’ if they think they have any chance at winning a championship, Dan Gilbert. Or they can get a great trade for next years first pick for Kobe Bryant, but I doubt that. And the team cant get any great players, LBJ couldn’t get Bosh to go to Cleveland, probably re-sign Shaq and go win a championship, maybe the sports gods want LA to 3-peat, or they just hate Cleveland. I hope they use the second pick to get my man Perry Jones.
