The Miami Heat walked into TD Garden with a two-zip series lead over Boston. They lost.
Despite Rajon Rondo getting injured in the third quarter (dislocated elbow) Rondo was able to come back in the game using only one arm and help lead the Celtics to victory. But is he done for?
Rondo should not have gone back into the game because he had a DISLOCATED ELBOW, though despite the large margin on the

score board, Doc Rivers decided it was necessary that Rondo go back into the game.
Rondo will most likely continue to play but should he? The Celtics are old and Rondo is their franchise player, though Boston wants a ring this year. Can Boston get it without Rondo? What about an injured Rondo?
The answer to both of those questions is…
No.
Boston is old, injuries to Ray Allen, Shaquille O’Neal and Rondo will KILL the Celtics. They just don’t have enough gas in their tank to go back the the finals.
Think about it. Kobe and the Lakers got swept. S-W-E-P-T, swept. Boston is playing a Miami Heat with three all-stars, three, young all-stars, two of which have been to the finals (Dwyane Wade and Lebron James) and one has a finals MVP. (Dwyane Wade).
Even if Boston beats Miami they will have to beat Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls (my apologies to Hawks fans) in the conference finals. If they win. Dallas, Memphis or OKC is up next.
Kobe and the Lakers take on the Hornets, and they will win.
Andrew Bynum:knee, Matt Barnes:knee, Steve Blake:chickenpox. Those are the three injuries that will affect the Lakers as they take on the New Orleans Hornets today. Though L.A. will still win. Easily.
Why? The Lakers are LONG, and even if the Lakers are missing Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom will get the dirty work down low. L.A. is missing Bynum, New Orleans is missing David West.
Chris Paul will be the only problem for L.A, but really, Kobe can stop Paul any day. The Hornets should have their runs, and so will the Lakers, but in the end, Kobe and Pau will destroy the Hornets.
The Lakers have lost five of their last seven, but that WILL not affect the Lakers. the regular season and the post-season are two different seasons, ask any athlete and they’ll tell you that. The Lakers are favorite in this game and they know that. They will produce.
The Bog 3 in Miami are all missing practice due to injuries
Celtics star power forward Kevin Garnett came back from an injury yesterday in the Celtics 109-106 win against the Orlando Magic improving their record to 31-9. Garnett scored 19 points and grabbed eight boards for the Celtics. Garnett also had 2 steals and one of which came in the final seconds to save the game for the Celtics.
In South Beach though, things do not look so good. The Miami Heat have lost the last three games, and now Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James are all having to miss practice with injuries. James and Bosh are both suffering left ankle injuries and Wade is sitting out because of a sore knee.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, getting ready for the Heat’s home game tuesday, told the press that Bosh is doubtful, James will be a game-time decision and Wade is probable. The three “kings” seem to be getting healthier. James said that if it was the playoffs, he, “could’ve defiantly went out there and played.
Though progression needs to happen as quick as possible. The Miami Heat are on a three game skid and there is no way the Heat can win without the big 3.
Dallas Mavericks forward Caron Butler will miss the rest of the season
The Dallas Mavericks forward Caron Butler had to do surgery because of a ruptured right patellar tendon in his right knee. Butler will be benched for the remainder of the season with the injury. Mavericks coach said that Butler’s surgery from what he heard has gone “extremely well.” But what does Dallas need to do with all their injuries. Star Dirk Nowitzki is day to day and will son miss his fifth straight game but if Butler is not playing in the playoffs, I’m not sure if Dallas can beat the Lakers and the Spurs in a best of seven series with no Caron Butler.
Tim MacMahon of ESPN believes that the Mavericks might move somebody for a better player. In his article he brought up names such as Andre Iqoudala from Philadelphia or Kevin Martin from Houston. Those seem like some nice names that could be added. The players might get sold because they would go from an environment where they lose a lot to an environment where they have a good chance to keep going to the NBA finals because nobody else in the west is good enough to stop them.
Greg Oden will undergo microfracture surgery on his left knee and will miss the whole 2020-11 season
Former number one draft pick picked up by the Portland Trailblazers Greg Oden was injured last December. He had a knee injury and on Friday he will undergo microfracture surgery on his left knee. The surgery will bench him for the rest of the 2010-11 season. Last December Oden had surgery on his fractured left patella and Oden hasn’t played one minute since the surgery. Now his damaged cartilage will make him get surgery.
His rookie season had him out the whole year because he had microfracture surgery on his right knee. Now this injury is coming back to haunt him. Was picking Oden first overall a bad pick. After Oden was picked Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant was picked second overall. If Portland had picked Durant they would be a much better team with Brandon Roy and Durant. Now they Have Roy and an injured Oden. What next?
Portand is 7-5 as of now, they look like a solid playoff team with Roy and Andre Miller but they did lose Travis Outlaw in free agency and the Phoenix Suns have been okay. If Phoenix plays well they could be back in the playoffs and Portland would be in trouble. It is hard enough to win in the west and now their starting center is out for the season, their players will have to step it up a notch if they want to win this season.
