Hear wha I say about the Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons

I watched to Miami Heat play the Detroit Pistons in the first ever game with James Wade and Bosh. Dwyane Wade went out early with a hamstring injury and did not return. Lebron and Bosh were left to take over the courts. Lebron shot 9-18 for 18 points, gave 4 assists and grabbed 3 boards. Chris Bosh shot 8-13 from the field for 20 points and got 6 rebounds in the teams 105-89 win. I was very impressed with the players on the team but I was more impressed with the bench.

I wasn’t sure if the Miami bench would be good enough to win a championship but it turned out, they are playing great. I loved some of the plays they executed and they had some great shots. The team played great and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Eddie House and 4 other players did not play. The Miami Heat looked unstoppable scoring 58 points by half time, and they didn’t have Dwyane Wade playing.

The Detroit Pistons missed the playoffs last year but picked up Greg Monroe, a power forward from Georgetown University in the draft. Monroe didn’t look too good last night scoring 10 points and getting 3 rebounds in 23 minutes. But other players on the Pistons played well. Ben Gordon had 17 points and 5 rebounds and was their player of the game. That was about it for them except for Tayshaun Prince who had 15 points and 2 rebounds. I took a look back at the assists for each team. Miami had 23 assists while Detroit had 13. Tayshaun Prince went down early and even though he came back in and was fine, it’s starting. If I were a Pistons fan I would be scared right now. Last season injuries killed the Pistons, it’s going to happen again this season.

Kevin Durant cheering in the semifinals against Lithuania

The last time Team USA won the gold in the FIBA World Championships. This year lots of big names went on the open market so not that many stars got to use their summer representing their country. There were 6 players 22 or younger on Team USA but Kevin Durant managed t0 lead them to the world championship game against Turkey. Kevin Durant scored 28 points to help lead Team USA to an 83-64 win. Coach K had an interview before the game in which he said it would mean more for him to win this year than the 2008 Olympics.

People doubted Team USA and their young talent but I had a feeling they would win. I am interested to see how this affects these young players futures in the NBA. Oklahoma City has good talent and now Durant and Westbrook might have gotten better with the experience. In the end we should all thank the players of Team USA for dedicating their summers playing and winning us a world championship.

Kevin Durant leads USA past Brazil70-68

Team USA is ranked second in the world under Argentina, but troubles today against Brazil might make you think twice about team USA.

Kevin Durant is the star player for this team. They have Danny Granger and Derrick Rose but without Durant they wouldn’t stand a chance. Team USA barely held off Brazil by a play that could have been a foul called. Actually if you watch it they almost did tie it up when there was a foul. Leandro Barbosa and Tiago Splitter are really playing well. The fact that USA could barely beat these teams just shows why Durant would win MVP if there was one for this. Spain and Argentina might be trouble for Team USA and I don’t see them winning world but they are 3-0 and Durant is playing better than just about anyone in the NBA. I want to see what Team USA can do though.

This is the recap of the Team USA Brazil game today.
